Lupus Or Cfs? Please Help Posted: 05-16-06 10:34am
For the last four years I have experienced
heavy fatigue and brain fog 24/7 (among
other symptoms). I also have a recurrent
rash on my cheeks; when the rash is at its
worst I usually feel feverish, more tired
and have other symptoms (e.G. Orthostatic
hypotension, boils). I previously thought
this was separate from my main illness,
but recently saw an article about lupus
and the rash appears to be a butterfly
rash.
I saw a doctor today, who dismissed the
possibility of it being lupus purely on
the grounds of it being 'uncommon' (?!).
It also seems to be impossible to find a
gp who takes my chronic fatigue seriously.
Any advice about whether it could be
lupus or a similar illness would be very
much appreciated, as well as advice on
getting medical attention.
