She is, and it is scary. I worry about
her constantly. She says, "i don't wan't
to be average weight, I want to be
underweight." it is frustrating because
she won't take advice. If we tell her to
eat she says, "but, I gain weight when I
eat!!!!" sometimes she just won't eat, but
when she rarely does she throws it all up
in the bathroom at school. Her parents
don't understand/pay attention to her. My
friends and I have already delt with 3
anorexic friends in 2 years. She is our
fourth. But we have never had a bulimic
friend. I need help and advice!
Thanks

Hi, there.
It's hard to deal with bulimia, as well as
it is hard to deal with any eating
disorder. If you try to dissuade your
friend or something alikie, she won't
probably listen to you. Taht always
happens, because there's such a rush to be
thinner and lighter that it's very hard to
explain.
Nevertheless, you can try to be with her
more often and to try to avoid letting her
go to the bathroom throw up at school,
without her noticing it.. It with be
hard, but, first of all, try to understand
her and always be by her side.
Good luck.

I agree, best you can do is being a friend
to her. She needs to come to the
conclusion that she is ill herself. You
have already dealt with friends with ed's,
it all comes to the same and a person with
ed will start to isolate themselves and
this will make it worse. She needs
friends!
