I feel that every time I try to quit
smoking something happens to make me to
start back up. I totally understand where
you are coming from and I do realize that
it is not a very good excuse, it is just
yhe icky habit with the pressure, I am
finally down to under a pack a day, I just
wished I could be one of those type that
quit cold turkey, it just kind of makes me
feel like maybe I am not ready to quit and
that is one thing that is necessary or tha
sub-consciously I am afraid that something
else may happen to make me want to start
up once I do quit. Sorry to hear about
your neighbor and about the job change!
Good luck to all! I know it is not an
easy habit to break!

hey shari, glad your still
around...........Sincere condolences for
your brother.........We've all been
there.....So depressed....Even
suicidal.....But the difference between us
and them is...Most of us realize, things
.W.I.L.L get better the next morning.
Well .Done!! Counting and keeping it
under a pack is an excellent starting
point.....When you feel a little braver
you can start cutting back....Bravo! :)

to a pack. Good luck with quitting I am
trying to get my boyfriend to stop he only
smokes a pack a day and just recently
started smoking again. He gets stressed
and smokes, it gives me a headache from
the smoke so he is trying to stop. I
hope he does.
Good luck girls :)
:!:
your sweet rinsha, thanks for the
continued support.
Just a thought: whenever my boyfriend
mentions me quitting smoking....It just
makes me wanna light up another
one......Even if I got one in my mouth
already, lol. Not sure if it's that way
for everyone......But probably is....We
have to do it ourselves......And if you
can't resist....Please do it in an
extremely censored way.....Cause if you
don't.....We just see your kind,(non
smokers) as another source of stress. :)

something .Will happen to make you want to
start smoking again......It's called life.
Bills, breakups, death...It's gonna
happen eventually, just got to be strong
enough to hang on. I did the cold turkey
thing and look where I am....Went full
circle. If you don't feel your
ready......Your probably right.....When
your ready....Don't worry, we're here to
support! :)
my neighbour is in a better place
now....God rest his soul.....And as for
the job.....I guess I wasn't clear.....The
way I said it...It sounds like I lost my
job......My job "duties" change all the
time....Not the actual job.

Dear diary
despite spending half the day with the
beau and the other half with friends, I
kept the smokes at 15/day. More difficult
when i'm in social situations, but still
maintained. Getting nervous about monday
when I cut back by 1 whole smoke.......Not
telling anyone....Cause when I do, all of
a sudden people are offering me
smokes.......I never .Do that to someone
who's trying to quit?!

Sorry, but cutting back is not the answer.
Ask yourself, dont you enjoy those
cigarettes more now that you can smoke
less. Does not the depravation actually
make the little stick seem better. You
anticipate your next cigarette and
therefore you enjoy it more.
Not smoking one cigarette at all is what
you need to do. All you are doing is
keeping your nicotene addiction going by
smoking, no matter if you cut back or not.
Chances are, you will cut down so far, and
then after a while you will start full
tilt again. Because all the while you are
suffering for a smoke, and denying
yourself, while on the other hand you are
subconsiously telling yourself cigarettes
are great. The less you smoke the better
the cigarette feels. But dont kid
yourself that is the nicotene making your
think that.
"""i feel that every time I try to quit
smoking something happens to make me to
start back up. I totally understand where
you are coming from and I do realize that
it is not a very good excuse, it is just
yhe icky habit with the pressure, I am
finally down to under a pack a day, I just

dont feel bad, that is the nicotene doing
that to you. Stress happens in life.
Non-smokers have the same amount of
stress. Yours is increased because of the
need for nicotene. It is the nicotene
that makes life seem harder. Not because
you quit. Actually you were on your way
to an easier life while you stopped
smoking. Stress in your life will happen,
just like it happens to people who don't
smoke. Nicotene will not make the stress
go away, the problems of life will still
be there. There is no need to allow
yourself to be controlled by nicotene.
Lastly, don't think of it as going cold
turkey. Think of it as escaping the trap
of nicotene. Every time you feel like
smoking, and dont, that is one more
victory for you. The nicotene is leaving
your body little by little. Every time
you don't smoke, you should be happy. You
just won another fight against nicotene.
Sure in the beggining all you think about
is smoking. That is normal. What you
wanna do is just remember that not smoking
at all is your way to freedom from
nicotene.
Now you are worried about the cravings.
Just think how stupid that is really to
crave something you hate or dislike. You
hate smoking because that is why you are
trying to quit. So why crave a cigarette
or anything with nicotene in it. Accept
the fact that your body needs the nicotene
for a short while, but realize smoking
does nothing for you. Do not forget
nicotene is a trap, and be very
happy(actually tell yourself how happy you
are that you do not smoke anymore) when
you do not light up.
Those are not cravings. It is actually
the nicotene inside your crying out to be
feed. If you feed it, it will just
continue to make you feel terrible. If
you do not feed it, it slowly dies.
Just change your thinking about quitting.
You are not quitting, but escaping and
killing the addiction to nicotene.
If you are intersted in finding out how I
kicked smoking with out cravings, with out
willpower, and without suffering(actually
I enjoyed it, and still enjoy it) just pm
me.
