Talk to your dr about that their are other factors to mc such as caffeine <<

anyways congrats on being preggo!!!

I smoked while I was pregnant I didnt quit completly(i did off an on) my dr said it would just be better if I lowered the amount I smoked I was smoking 27 (usually 1pk and half/day) before I was preggo, went down to 3-6 a day!! Good luck hope you make it through!!

Dont feel guilty and dont let anyone make you feel guilty you are trying to change just be yourself and if you drink caffeine dont give it up all at once its horrible feeling (headaches and shaking with some people) so go off of it slowly same with smoking they are both drugs!!

Both my kids were healthy they were both over 7lbs and no health problems, everyone reacts differently to drugs so as some say its better not to play with fate honestly if something happened to my kids I would have felt guilty.

Good luck and remeber this is a personal choice!!

Asthma, allergies and eczema are all related they are actually passed down (genetically) now smoking can cause asthma/bronchitis the majority of the time its from genetics.

As well your body changes every so many years after having elisa I got eczema never had it before after having cam I now have environmental allergies and a crap load of health problems....

With my daughter she has never been sick the only thing she came down with so far is 1 cold and 2 utis (commom in baby girls)

cameron has had rsv my niece had it and my brotherin law left his daughter at my place knowing I had a newborn and didnt care well my son was in the hospital for about a week because of his carelessness!!

I quit smoking slowly during this pregnancy. Like I kinda weened myself off of them for the first few months.
I have been told that some people have gone their whole pregnancy smoking and their kids are ok and all that but it's still that 50/50 line where I wouldnt want to take the risk !!

Smoking is certainly a very killing habit. If you are a smoker you would realize the worth of my words. There are many options available in the market to quit smoking such as nicotine gums, inhalers and medicines like chantix, champix and zyban. Apart from these support measures what really is needed is the will power and self control.

Pretty sure those medications are not approved for pregnant women....

My doctor told me it was best to just cut down because your body is already going through the trauma of pregnancy and the baby would suffer more from withdrawal.

Yeah, this comes from the site YOU posted:
"Chantix, the quit smoking drug has been reported to have yielded serious side-effects including depression, suicidal behavior et al and a chantix lawsuit can even be filed by someone who has lost an intimate friend or relative due to suicide committed by him/her under the influence of chantix. With the smoking cessation medicine chantix yielding a whole lot of disastrous effects on people, a section of the victimized chantix users are resorting to file chantix lawsuit in order to claim compensation from the chantix manufacturer Pfizer."

"Chantix may not be suitable for certain physical or medical conditions. Consult your doctor if you plan to take Chantix under the following conditions:

* Breastfeeding. You may need to devise an alternative model to feed the baby as Chantix may get to the baby through breast milk
* Pregnant. There are chances of Chantix affecting the unborn baby"

DO NOT USE THIS!
