Hello,

i first started my period when I was 12 and it did not come back until I was 15 and since it came back it also did not stop and it was not just spots of blood either. I went to see a doctor when I was 16 and the doctor told me that I had some hormonal imbalance which he prescribed me to take a birth control pills for three months to stop me from bleeding. After three months, my period went on and on again, so I thought of taking the pills again. Till later it went okay for a while, sometimes my period would come twice a month only... But now that I am married and want to have a baby, how am I suppose to get myself pregnant if I have periods two times a month?

Take the pill reg. For about 6 mths...That will get your cycle going. And have you been tested for pcos? Talk with your doc about how to get started...Most won't fo fert. Stuff until you have been trying for at least a year.

You should go back to the doctor and have a full work up. He can advise you on how to go about acheiving pregnancy. The best course of action may be something completely different than the pill. Good luck!

It sounds like that was what you were diagnosed with (pcos) and you need to see a doctor to have it treated.

Good luck!

thanks.. I found out what pcos means.. Will go see a doctor soon...

Fertility medications. The main fertility problem for women with pcos is the lack of ovulation. Even so, her husband’s sperm count should be checked and her tubes checked to make sure they are open before fertility medications are used. Clomiphene (pills) and gonadotropins (shots) can be used to stimulate the ovary to ovulate. Pcos patients are at increased risk for multiple births when using these medications. In vitro fertilization (ivf) is sometimes recommended to control the chance of having triplets or more. Metformin can be taken with fertility medications and helps to make pcos women ovulate on lower doses of medication.

There's still a way to get pregnant if this is my case. I'm so glad. :)

thank you so much again.
