I was just put on topomax 2 days ago and
so far I feel loopy. I feel like I am
walkingon clouds. Is that normal. I was
put in the hospital for 5 days for a
severe migraine and it took 4 days and 3
medications through iv for my pain to be
relieved. That is the second time I have
been so bad that I have been hospitilized.
I just hope the positive outways the
negative.

Side Effects Posted: 05-31-06 14:20pm
That is just the beginning. I have been
on it for one year. One thing I have to
say is I hope you plan on loosing a lot of
weight. I started taking topamax and
weighed 126 lbs. Now I am 94 lbs. I
wasn't able to eat, I would forget
something I just said not even 5 minutes
before, can't drink soda (tastes like
metal), tingling in hands, feet, and face,
dizzy, just so many. I am now coming off
it because the dr says I lost to much
weight. My family and friends think that
I am sick and there is something wrong
with me because I got so skinny. They say
anorexia is a side effect I can see why
but I try to not let that happen. Read up
on it and read what other people have
written in this forum you will learn more
about it.
