This is a bit of a long story but I am
very distressed. I know I am not female
but its about my x girlfriend. Basically,
I have never had symptoms of anything,
never had a reason to think I could have
anything, and I had always used condoms,
except with a girl who said she had been
given the clear and it had split..So I
hadnt been tested, silly I know....
Anyhow, me and my x gf got together about
3 months ago, we had unprotected sex every
time, I assumed and had no idea I could
have anything, hadnt been with anyone for
a year and half either and she had been
tested just before me, anyhow, she never
came on her period..For 2 months...All
pregnancy tests showed negative.. Yet she
had other symptoms like lots of pain when
urinating, and feeling sick, and abdominal
pains...The doc thought this was systitis
and it seemed to go away for a while so we
thought nothing of it, assumed antibiotics
had worked. Yet, still no period after 2
months.. By now I was starting to
suspect, and get paranoid that she had
something..
Anyhow, 3 days ago she went to to docs,
negative pregnancy test again, yet the
doctor seemed very worried and told her
its possible she has pid (pelvic
inflammation disease) and that it could be
seriour, or something along those lines,
and looking everything up, this is caused
from chlamydia in most cases or an
infection to start with!! So therefore
she must of got something off me, and I
feel awful about it, and also worried sick
about damage to her.
First she has to have another proper
pregnancy test and then an ultrasound to
see what damage has been done to her
reproductive system, its not comfirmed
yet, ive warned her its possible I may of
had something, but I feel awful and so
sorry for her, and I feel like its all my
fault.
It would of been 2 months she would of had
it or just over, so I am and I am sure she
is extremely scared of what damage this
could of done to her, and also her future
possibility of having children..I really
wouldnt be able to forgive myself if me
passing something on has caused this.
I am going to get tested this week but I
seem to feel sure it must of been me, so
lets assume for now I did cause this.
Has anyone else had pid, and is it a lot
of cases that require an operation or it
it usually after having it a lot longer
then 2 months? I am worried sick about
her, and I cant stop crucifying myself for
it.
