Hi there im new here so im sorry if this is in the wrong place

ok well I was taken off the mini pill quite a while ago due to a blood disorder I have been told that I am not able to use hormonal contriception anymore :? so ever since my husband & I have had to use barrier forms ie condoms.

About 2weeks ago almost exactly inbetween periods, we were making love and the condom ripped and slipped off   we didnt realise until after and I had to go to a&e to have it removed as we couldnot retrieve it. Now last week again we were making love as married couples do and again the condom split it didnt slip off but we still only noticed afterwards.

my q is, I did a test yesterday on the evening. After 6 mins there was a really faint line almost a watermark but there was alittle colour in it,in the result window. Is this nothing or is it a positive result?

Thanx confused xx

1.99?? I aint never heard of that!! Doesnt sound reliable to me atall!! Clearblue is the best in england yes, u can get it from pretty much all pharmacies(pricey) and supermarkets(cheaper), places like superdrug and boots. They r bout 10quid tho wherever u go...Thts if u r from england?!!? But anyway they r the best. And get better contraception, like the injection. Its more reliable
:d

My dr wont put me on the depo injection or any other pill hormone based contriseptive anymore  I have a blood disorder which means that I have high risk of cloting.

I was on depo about 3 and a 1/2 years ago but my blood test results weren't very good so I was taken off it.

I will get a clearblue test today from boots or moss pharmacy, do you think that it is too early to test though? Or would it be ok now?

Thanx for your reply's by the way you are being a big help & I am so sorry for all of the q's

D.O. N.O.T. Pay attention to the lines the don't mean nothing all you pay attention to is the screen and whether it says pregnant or not pregnant. Well better luck next time when you test

Funny how you state" making love as married couples do" it almost sounds like if youre not married youre not making love or that if youre not married you shouldnt be having intercourse. Anyhoo.....

By the way you need to pay attention to both lines in each box. If you got a faint line and its colored then its most likely positive.

Hi emma 2

i didnt mean to sound offensive all I meant is that when I makelove to my hubby thats what it is. We havent been married all that long just about 4 yrs so we are still in the honymoon stage lol.

All couples can make love married or otherwise :) im sorry if I came accross as nasty

I might have missed this if you said it already (i just woke up and am still alittle squinty. Lol), but have you actually missed your period yet? If not, that might explain the wonky results. Also, a cheap test is no less reliable than an expensive one... Some of the expensive ones can just detect the hormone sooner.

Okay let me restate what I said so you don't get confused, emma2 said that you need to pay attention to the lines in each box=don't listen to that. That only applied to the first test you took. With the clearblue digital you only pay attention to the window that says pregnant or not pregnant. Not the lines that you see when you eject the stick. And like I said once before good luck testing next time

My best experience with tests was with first response. I hadn't even missed my period and I got an obvious posistive result. I know alot of the ladies on here don't like that brand but just lettin ya know that it's never steered me wrong  maybe you could try a first response?

You would be better off taking your pregnancy test with your first morning urine when the hcg hormone would be most concentrated. All pregnancy kits advise this.

The next time you restest, take it first thing in the morning.

If you do not wish to become pregnant, you should look into an iud. Very effective. No hormones. Or a diaphram/cervical cap to use along with the condoms. Double the protection never hurt anyone.

Good luck!

If you take a first response, it says that you can test at any time of the day.
