Yeah, it does but you'll get a better reading if the hcg in your urine is concentrated. Thus, you'll get a positive and have it actually .B.E positive and you won't have to take test after test after test waiting for a real positive result.

If you take a pregnancy test when there is a higher concentration of the pregnancy hormone, the test will work better.

Ya, so right, especially if her hcg level isn't high to begin with.... I guess I was just like superhcg girl lol. Cuz I peed on a stick at like 11:00 at night, and it was darker than dark before I even was done peeing lol. (like 10 seconds) and this was 4 days before I even missed a period hehehe.

Everyone is different. You may have ovulated early and so were 'farther' along in the number of days you were pregnant. She may or may not be pregnant, but taking (and paying for!) multiple tests is silly. If you follow the directions.

Some tests say they can pick up the pregnancy hormone as soon as 4 or 5 days before your missed period - but that is only if your body is producing enough hormone for it to pick up! It isn't guaranteed and that statement isn't always true. Even pregnant women sometimes have to wait a week or more after they miss their period for a test to be positive.

Megums1211---all pregnancy test say you can test any time of the day just not first response. It's just recomended that you use first morning urine it's better. And it's more than likely to pick up hcg if there is any.

So to the original poster, have you retested yet? Pm me if u want so we can have a better conversation. Sorry I replied so late I was in bed, asleep as you do.Lol
and u said u should be due on your period again, u can wait a couplde of days to see if it comes, to save yourself from wasting money, and if u get one that comes up with a + or - thats better than the ones that say pregnant or not pregnant.
Do it in the morning
with a first response clearblue pregnancy test
let me no how it goes
good luck mate!

Hi everyone

sorry for the late update I went away for the weekend.

I havent re-tested yet I am trying my best to wait just incase I am really late for some reason.

I still havent had my period, I did have the smallest amount of spotting on sunday but nothing much and nothing since. I will re-test on friday if I still havent had my period.

Thanx everyone for your advice, you are all being a big help.

The question is: is that a lot for you? Some people have longer cycles. Some people have 21 day cycles. Other people have 34 day cycles. This is where you have to advocate for yourself, be aware of your own body and how it works. If you feel like you are pregnant and are also late on your period, take a test. This is a message board, that is really about all we can tell you.

Good luck!

Hi everyone

well I couldnt wait till friday I re-tested last night. I used clearblue digital as I bought a 3 test kit.

It came up 'not pregnent' so I have made a dr apointment for the end of the week to find out what is going on, and to see if she is willing to try anything other that barrier methods for me.

Thanx everyone

Well I still havent had my af

as some of you may remember my post 'testing question' I thought I needed some suport or advice.

I have been getting cramps and headaches feeling asthough I am about to start for what seems like ages now but still nothing ... Grrrrrrrrrr

i went to the docs and he thinks I might have pcos, he has sent a sample to the lab just in case the clearblue digital tests were wrong though.

My last af was the begining of april and I had some spotting about the 29th ish of may but no af. I did a test with a cheap brand in may and got a faint possitive and since then have doen 2 x clearblue digital tests which were both bfn's. What is wrong with me???????

Hey I have been a big fan of first response and the dollar store brand in fact the dollar one showed up faster than the first response.. It detects 20 miu's compared to the first response.. But I live by the first response.. It tends to be better at least for me. Try that brand.. Maybe that will help.. Even if its a faided pink line. Its still means hcg( the pregnancy hormone) was detected.. So check it out if you havent got the af or your doctor hasnt confirmed anything yet!
