When I take sulpha antibiotics, all the lupus symptoms get very severe. I get very sore all over and can't walk very well. I'm sure it does other things to other people as lupus is different for each person. Take care!

Sulfa drugs are one of those things that once you are diagnosed they tell you to watch out for...It can cause flares in some people...So if you are one of them...Watch out for certain types of seafood, wines and certain drugs!

As for why...I don't think they know anymore why than why people get lupus. Same old story! Smile

Get your parathyroids and thyroids checked. Once you have one autoimmune disease it's not hard to get more. Go to lots of doctors and someone who knows about medication interactions. Don't loose faith just don't listen to the doctors that say feeling just ok is fine, we all have the right to feel as good as we can.Hope I helped at all.
