Cold makes my skin itch like crazy. It
can be from picking up a cold beverage in
either a can or paper cup or from just
going outside in temps below about 40.
It can be my toes, soles of my feet, or
even my ears.
The itch and burning is extreme. I asked
an acquaintance who is a newly licenced
dermatologist and he said he had never
heard of anything like this.
It is definitely not psychsomatic. I have
worked in hospitals and have an advanced
degree in human physiology and I know and
understand what a psychosomatic condition
is. This is truly an intolerable
sensitvity to cold, especially wet cold.
It seems that any part of my body that
touches something very cold for more than
a few seconds becomes inflamed and itches
horribly.
