Ive been on the pill for about 3 yrs now
and about two months ago my doc switched
me to ortho lo. I had sex in april and
the condom broke but I had my cycle weeks
following. Now its may and I have been
having the brown discharge for about a wk
and a half. I took two preg. Test last
friday, which were both neg. Im not sure
if this is because of the pill change or
something else. Anyway want to offer
advise?
Thanks!

Ortho lo is a very low dose pill , so it
most definately could be because of the
lower dose that your body needs to adjust
to.
You are still protected, and hopefully
this will resolve itself in coming months.

Yeast & Bc Pills Posted: 06-04-06 13:44pm
I went to the doc and she said that I had
a yeast infection and the discharge may
have been from the pills. She switched me
back to ortho and gave me some treatment
for 7days. Its now been 5 days and im
seeing blood/discharge only when I wipe.
I will start my new pills today and we
shall see what happens. Any ideas?

Unfortunately anytime you change pills
there is a possibility of spotting for a
few weeks, up to the next cycle... The
good news is you are protected from
pregnancy, so no worries there.

Hmmm Posted: 06-17-06 16:18pm
Its 18 days later after my doc visit on
may 31 and I am still having bleeding even
after my yeast infection has cleared up.
Not enough to fill and soak a regular
tampon, but enough for me to wear a panty
liner everyday. Its starting to worry me
as well as annoy me. Its not bright red,
but its red enough to notice its new blood
and not old blood.
Someone please give me advice!!!!!!!!

As annoying as it is, it is normal. For
the first 2-3 months of brith control
usage, or if you switch pills, you can
expect some pretty irregular spotting.
