I am 33 years old. My husband is 39. I was on the pill for over 10 years. I went off the pill about a month ago. Assuming we are both healthy, fertile people, who have sex on a pretty regular basis. How long might it take to get pregnant? I made the decision years ago to have a career first, and then have children, but I fear I may have waited too long, and probably should not have stayed on the pill for so long.
Also, I have a sister with down's syndrome. I have another sister with two healthy babies. What do you think my chances are of having a child with down's?
Lastly, I suppose there may be a small chance I am pregnant right now. I also have a nasty cold. If I am pregnant, can I take some tylenol? I have not taken anything yet, but this cold is kicking my butt. Is tylenol safe?
