Baby Moving While Having Sex?
Posted: 05-31-06 09:45am

This is tmi sorry :) okay ladies I need some input in this one. I had sex last week and I am 13 weeks and I noticed on one side of my lower ab was moving up and down in sync with my partner. I freaked out it was total twight light zone! Is this suppose to happen, is it normal? Has anyone ever experienced this? What is it!!! Lol

It seems that 13 weeks a little too early to see the baby move on the outside. I'm 23 weeks, and saw the baby move on the outside for the first time last night. I couldn't even feel the baby move when I was 13 weeks. Maybe it was from something else? Like your organs kinda get pushed out from what was going on?

Yea it is odd to feel the baby move that early, sometimes I do feel it and im 14 weeks this week... But it just feels like twitches from deep inside my belly. The dr said it will be a good month or two before I even start to show so...

Also.. I read in a magazine that sex tends to put the baby to sleep because of the rocking motion.

I am already showing...Im all belly! And it could be that eveyrthing was pushed up and he was moving that. I tell you if you would have seen it you wold have thought it was the baby too.

thats not always true... My cousin just had her first baby and I remember her being able to feel the baby move when she was only 15 weeks. And it's the truth b/c I went with her to her ultrasound and she described what the baby felt like and that's what she was doing

Really?? You can only feel that baby that late? I read that starting at 14 weeks women (regardless of how many children they have) can start to feel the baby but more commonly at about what you state. I know for sure it was not gas....It was moving up and down everytime he went in and out and it wasnt sublte...

Can start to feel and can .F.E.E.L the baby are two entirely different things. At under 15 weeks the baby is not large enough and the bones are not hardened enough to make a real pushing feel. When the baby gets larger, and there is less room to move in the uterus, is when the most movements can be felt.

I'm not dismissing that you felt the baby move. I just don't think what you felt, that rythmic motion, was the baby. I think it regular ol' sex causing that.

Have no fear though, you'll be having feet up under your ribs and a bladder bouncing baby in no time!

Happy pregnancy to you!

Don't get your hopes up. I'm not saying it isn't twins, so don't start in with the 'so and so had twins and she had all my exact symptoms'. Because i've done twin research and I know that not everyone has symptoms and the majority of twin pregnancies are not overly noticeable as 'twins' very early on.

Read this: http:/ /messageboards.Ivillage.Com/n/mb/message.A sp?Webtag=iv-pppregwtwins&msg=30642.1& amp;ctx=0

good luck on your pregnancy.

Well, I had a miscarriage in 2004 and they were twins. There is twins on both sides of the families. I am not getting my hopes up for twins because honestly I want one! Scary!!!

It would only matter if twins were present on your side. Your husband's side doesn't count in twinning ;)

i'm sorry for your miscarriage. Good luck on your pregnancy.
