Q: Swimming While Pregnant?

I went swimming awhile ago and some how that water got umm in me. Lol
i came home and laid down and now my stomach is cramping a little.

Is that gunna hurt my baby?? Cuz it does have chlorine in the pool.

You can swim while you are pregnant. You can live your life normally. Pregnancy is not a disease and there are only a few restrictions on eating and exerting yourself. Swimming is fine.

Rest and drink water.

Nah, .I doubt that the chlorine would have any effect.


You may be cramping because you were swimming. I cramp slightly after .I take walks or after .I'm really active. So that could be it.

Your cervix is closed tight and nothing can get into your uterus and reach the baby. Swimming is often recommended during pregnancy as a safe, low-impact exercise. Don't worry.

Yes swimming is safe. And when you get to the end of your pregnancy trust me it feels like heaven. The bouyancy of the water takes all of that weight off of your lower back, legs and feet. It's the absolute best cure for the end of pregnancy aches, and if the water is a little warm, then it's even better!!!

And like a previous poster said during pregnancy your cervix is shut to keep icky bacteria from harming the baby...

I'm thinking about going swimming, and I'm 8 months pregnant with twins. I am one cc dilated. What do you think the Chlorine will do?
