Genital Infection From Saliva In Oral Sex? Posted: 01-11-04 23:50pm
I am a 42 year old woman, starting my life
over and dating. When I was married, I
never had oral sex performed on me. But
resently, what happens is, that after oral
sex is performed the following week, I get
really itchy and the soft skin in the
inner labia gets cracked and hurts, and
clitoras itchy too. I had it checked by
doc. Tests run, no std's, just one of
those things. But I was wondering will I
be doomed to this everytime it happens? I
have been sitting in a tub of water
everynight, make sure I dry really well
and am using vagisil, but the itch is
tremendous. Could I be getting a skin
infection from the saliva of my lover, or
is the skin just that sensitive? Besides
the sitz baths, should I be adding baking
soda, epsoms salts, or anything else to
take the sting away? There is no odor
associated with this and no discharge from
what I can see. Just angry little skin
cracks. Thanks

It is possible to get an infection, I got
a yeast infection one time after oral sex.
Your symptoms are definitely strange,
i'm not sure what it could be. Maybe it
could be from the oral sex or maybe it
could an allergy to something. New soap?
New detergent? Scented toliet paper?
I'd try the oral sex again and see if the
same thing happens. You sound miserable
- I hope you are able to straighten it all
out soon. Good luck.
