Hello everyone. I've been active
sticking my nose into a lot of the
postings since I found this site, and
thought I should introduce myself. I'm a
27 year old who has been dealing with the
arthritic symptoms of lupus for 8 years.
Like many of you, I was told it was in my
head and I was just looking for attention.
I got tired of hearing that and found a
Dr. Who would refer me to a specialist.
The specialist wasn't sure, but he didn't
dismiss my pain. It took a few years,
but we finally came up with medications
that work for me as well as a diet and
excercise regime.
I've recently had a severe flare up that
has forced me to quit my career job (and
first love)- landscaping, and am now
trying to find ways to keep my lupus under
control and find a new career.
The hardest part is that my husband
doesn't understand what I am going through
and I don't know how to explain how I
feel. Anyone, having advice/suggestions,
I would really appreciate hearing from
you. Hope you made it through my
long-winded intro and that I hear from
some of you soon.
