Hiya, I know some people might think this
isin the wrong place, but couldnt find
anywhere else for it. I was just
wondering if any of you ladies on here are
midwifes or know someone is a midwife. I
want to become a midwife and just wanna
know a few things like how you get there
etc. Like through college. How long it
is...The costs(english money) if anyone
just wants to pm me that would be great.
Thanks!

Hi I think your in uk (if I remember
correct) I applied through nmas this year
(www.Nmas.Ac.Uk) I went to a few
interviews but got turned down. Believe
me it is very hard to get into. It takes
a few years of trying before you are
succesful (unless you are very lucky) as
their is not enough spaces.
You can choose to do a diploma or degree
through uni or college. I chose a diploma
that has an extra year that makes it a
degree. The nhs funds the course so it
won't cost you anything and you get a
bursary each year.
Best to check out
it'll give you all the infoe.
Hopefully i'll get in for next year!
Pm me if you want

Midwife is just a nurse specialised in
obstertrics but they can also deliver
babies, many ppl prefer midwifes because
of they feel more relaxed with midwives
down here believe in choice for delivery
unless there is complications but more
succeed ina drug free delivery with a
midwife over the dr!!!
