Well im having my gluclose test tomorow
and im kinda nervous about it. Im afraid
of getting sick with it. Its the one hour
gluclose test so I guess its not as bad as
the 3 hour one but still, im hypoclemic
(sp?) too so thats another thing that
makes me think I might get sick. So my
question is...How was it for you? Take my

You drink a load of orange sweet stuff and
sit there for an hour. I read a book. My
only problem was the annoyance of having
it cut into my day!

I picked up the drink the day before and
kept it in my fridge over night so it
would be nice and cold. I drank it the
next day and it turned out to be kind of
good. It just tasted like orange soda to
me. Then I sat around my house until it
was time to go and I got my blood drawn
exactly an hour after I drank it. I don't
know if it mattered that I was only 9
weeks when I did it but I was completely
fine.

The stuff provided for me was carbonated,
and my nurse sort of rushed me into
drinking it fast, so I was burpy for about
10 minutes, but otherwise I was fine. I
also got a slight headache afterward, but
that could also have been caused by the
toddler throwing a tantrum in the waiting
room.

Aya...The nurses made me drink mine in 10
minutes!!! And it was hot!!! Yuck!! no
namers!!!
I had cut back on sugary drinks so I got
like a 15 minute sugar rush!! But that
might have been from inhaling it!!!

Yeah, you have to drink it fast. I had to
drink mine in 5 minutes.

I had the three-hour test in my 4th
pregnancy. They gave me a choice of
lemon-lime, orange, or cola flavor. I
chose cola, and is was ok - kind of like
very very sweet generic cola.
The worst part was that I have only one
good vein , in my right arm, so they had
to stick the same vein again and again to
get blood.
