How Do I Get the Desire Back? Posted: 06-04-06 21:24pm
I have been with my husband for 3 years.
From the beginning of our marriage I had
known that he had an anger issue (mainly
when driving)and once the anger is
triggered there is no way for him to shut
it off he just gets worse. This is
caused from a frontal lobe injury that he
recieved from a motorcycle accident 16
years ago. The frontal lobe is
completly dead (miracle man) to name a few
things that this affects are his
addrenaline flow, his temper, short/long
term memory, and senses. So by the
doctors orders, that he hasn't followed
very well, is to stay on the meds now and
forever no exceptions.
He has recently decided to get back on the
antidepressants because he has been out of
work for almost a year because of another
injury to his shoulder. We have been
fighting workmans comp. And struggling
financially since it started. His only
choice, ordered by his lawyer was to kick
it till it's over. Well anyone, even in a
right state of mind, would go crazy
sitting at home not knowing whats going to
happen from day to day.
So zoloft, a mood stabolyzer that I don't
remember the name of, and serequil(
forgive my speling) and they have helped
him wonderfully but the side affect of all
three is that it takes his desire for any
kind of physcal touch just about completly
away. Any sugestions on getting past
the lack of intamacy? Is there any
thing I could do to get him to desire it
again? Heather

Needing Help Please!!!!!!! Posted: 06-13-06 20:27pm
I have this feeling that no one has any
idea for some help on this topic. How
about maybe where I could go to get some
answers on this topic? I have actually
set up a few topic questions and have not
had any responses to them, either i'm on
the wrong site or I am just asking
questions people don't know the answer to?
Some kind of response would be nice, I
see that people look at the question they
just don't answer.

Try This... Posted: 06-14-06 16:39pm
See if the doctor can decrease the dose on
the antidepressant.... My husband was on
paxil and it was okay when he took it once
a day.... But when they had him on it
twice a day it took away all sex drive for
him... I am happy to say he does no
longer need to take them but for you(your
husband) maybe a smaller dose or try a
different antidepressant all together....
Hope this helps!
