Nausea and Symptoms of Ulcer not going away...what is this?
Posted: 06-05-06 04:05am

im not really sure how to explain this, but for the past 3months I have have suffered severe daily nausea. It all started when I picked up a sickness bug from my work since then i'v felt terrible.

My gp originally gave me domperidome, which made no difference at all. I then had blood tests which came back normal, so my doctor said it would fade out in a week or two. Because I felt so sick in the morning I would quite often not have breakfast, so by lunch time I would feel shaky, weak, dizzy and incredibly sick. I then started fainting a lot, my gp then decided I suffer from low blood sugar and a stomach ulcer. I have started my new diet of 6 small meals a day and taking omazrepole for my stomach. This worked really well for the first 2 weeks then my nausea came back, I check my blood sugar when I feel sick and its usually fine.

However now I get a sort of dull pain in my upper abdomen just below my ribcage, which sometimes gets really painful, (it feels like its being crushed nad I get a horrible acid taste in my mouth) I also have pain in my lower abdomen (like constant period pain) I have been to my gp so many time now and i'm begining to get the feeling that he thinks im making it up but everyone says I look pale so I'm sure I'm not imagining it.

Any advice would be super

You can request a Helicobacter pillory serology and a gastroscopy in order to help diagnose your condition. A gastroscopy is the only reliable method for detecting peptic ulcers.
