Aarghh I Am Going Insane (same As Teen Preg) Posted: 06-06-06 15:09pm
This isnt pregnancy related but....
I know most of you have children to young
to be worrying about this at the moment
but lucas my 2 yr old is driving me
crazy!!!
We have been trying to get him to sleep in
a bed instead of his cot for the past few
weeks now but it isnt working, every night
being the same, as soon as we leave the
room hes outta there. So we decided he
wasnt ready for it yet and put him back in
the cot. Only problem is now he doesnt
want to sleep at all! Its 9 o'clock and
hes still awake upstairs shouting and
screaming. He has always had a nap about
1 o'clock in the afternoon so me and my
man thought... 'its ok just keep him up
through the day'....Yeah right. Today he
had his lunch and I took his plate through
to the kitchen. By the time I got back,
this is what greeted me
noooooooo!

Oh the wonderful world of two year olds.
Have you tried letting him listen to music
or watch a half hour movie in his room?
That is what we did with my two youngest
now 3&4. I hope that helps you.
Although my 3 year old keeps getting up
every half hour these last couple of
nights.

Hmmm sounds just like my nephew who so
happens to be 2 and his name is
luca...Lol...He was having the same issue
wouldnt sleep in his bed or at all unless
someone would hold him till he fell
asleep. I think it got to the point where
my sister put him in bed and told him in a
stern voice" sleep time and thats it!!!"
and would ignore his crying until he fell
asleep. You can also try giving him some
warm milk with honey , it makes them
sleepy and avoid anything with sugar after
5 pm.
