Pcos - Can Anyone Relate?
Posted: 06-06-06 15:25pm

I was only diagnosed a couple of years ago when I was 28 years old, but probably have had it since I was a teenager which would explain a lot. I had been on glucophage and clomid to try and help me ovulate, but it wasn't working so my doctor put me on actos and femara which is supposed to have the same effect. Still no luck. I've been married for over 3 years - i'm almost 31 and my husband is 38. We desperately want to have a family and are getting discouraged. He's been tested and is fine so it's just a matter of getting my ovaries to cooperate. I've had ultrasound scans that show my ovaries are responding to the fertility meds but we can't conceive for some reason. I feel bad like i'm letting my husband down even though he says i'm not and is very supportive. Can anyone else relate? :(

I now am only taking metformin and hope this month I will become pregnant. Good luck to all.

Trying to conceive for almost 6 years and found out I had pcos 3 years into it. I haven't been able to get preg yet either...But we are hoping to add to our family through adoption.

My husband and I also briefly looked into adoption, but there are so many expenses involved (like the home study and lawyer fees) that we don't know if we'll ever be able to do it. It would take years for us to save up the thousands of dollars involved in adopting. Isn't there any program or adoption assistance for couples on a limited budget to be able to give a child a good home?

If you go through your states foster program costs are greatly reduced and they do the homestudy .

I to have pcos and have been to a fertility specialist. I took the shots and they actually worked. I didn't become pregnant however. My husband sperm count was high, so we got discouraged and quit going to the center. I now have lost 50lbs and just order ovulex. Have you heard of it? I hope this works. I have a 1yr old nephew and a 6yr old nephew that I love dearly. I have come to terms that if ovulex doesn't work, those two boys will be it for me. Adoption would be another option but the cost is out of range for us.

hi there kristy
i have pcos also and I ordered ovulex almost a month ago. I was just wondering if it has worked for you yet? Please let me know how it is going. I heard ovulex dosnt have any side effects but I been on edge and I cried for no reason. I dont know if its trying to straightern out my hormones or what. I started it on my last period and still not due for period till the 25th so I hope it dosnt come. Please let me know how you are doing. If you would like you can email me direct at jimytab@h ughes.Net before ovulex I had no periods except if I took bc pills and I have facial hair problems. Can you relate?
