Have you been to the doctor yet? They
usually give you all the info you need on
what not to eat and what meds not to take
and whatnot. Also, prenantal vitamins
are made for pregnant women so why would
some not be good for them?
Hey michelle- my fiance came home
yesterday and told me I couldn't have tuna
anymore because consumer reports said
pregnant women shouldn't have *any*.
Well, i'm sure many many pregnant women
have eaten tuna throughout their pregnancy
so i'm going to continue eating my 1 tuna
sandwich a week (every sunday!).
Besides, i'll go by what my doctor said
and he said I could have it once or twice
a week.

It was a quick clip, so I didn't get to
read up on it yet.

Don't worry about it, aya. I eat tuna
every sunday and have since I found out I
was pregnant and my baby is developing
fine. They make all these new food rules
to follow all the time. Eventually they
just need to come out with food capsules
for preggos so we don't have to worry
about everything we put in our mouths.

Bridget your fiance sounds lovely! Really
caring...
I think I heard it's ok in moderation, but
that was from one person to another to
another etc etc.
eventually they just need
to come out with food capsules for preggos
so we don't have to worry about everything
we put in our
mouths.
then in 5 years they'll be saying that
they cause something or other to the
baby.... Lose-lose situation!

The tuna thing is because there is mercury
in the tuna. You are not supposed to
consume a lot of metals (mercury) when you
are pregnant. Limit the quantity of tuna
you eat.
Soft cheeses and deli meats are some other
things to 'avoid'.
