Really Bad Back Pain
Posted: 06-09-06 10:42am

I am 15 and have had bad back problems all my life, we have tried so many things but it is just temporary pain relief. Does any one know if there is anything I can do. Also people tell me I have back problems because I was walking too early as a baby. I started walking at seven months. Do you think this could have anything to do with it?

Do you have any x-rays from your pelvis? Do they look like these?

I am not a dr but you might think about asking him about grtting an .M.R.I.
I understand what it is like living in chronic pain, I have it 24/7 but I am a lot older than you, my .Daughter started walking young like you but does not seem to have any problems yet and she is a lot older than you and you do have a right to get a second opinion.
Good luck to you, I hope your situation gets better!
Keep us posted and maybe someone else here might have more information.

Thanks very much for your help. I have been told once that my spine has a tiny curve in it but I never thought anything of it before. I have also been told that because one of my shoulders is lower than the other that causes back problems but I was never sure if it was true or not. I appreciate your suggestions I might have to go back to the doctor to get a scan done or something if it means it might help my back problems. If any one else knows anything I can do I would really really appreciate it.

that is only one symptom, not a cause.
When your pelvis is misaligned it causes leg length discrepancy and everything else to be misaligned too. In time there will be pain... Try to find someone who understands.

Back Pain

Hello,

i have suffered for many years with both a severe back problem and a rare nueropathy. I also have difficulty sleeping but have some suggestions that might help. Natural inflamatories such as zyflamend, msm, fish oil might be effective in addition to calcium/magnesium for relaxation at night. Sleeping with your knees higher then your back will provide some relief and avoid sleeping on your stomach. You can prop up your kness with pillows etc. Also, quite effective is using an inversion table to take pressure off of the back in your home. Takes just a little bit to get used to and can relieve pain. Can find at a back store or local exercise equipment supply. A reputable chiropractor can also be quite helpful. Accupuncture can also help but it is trial and error for each person with most remedies. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. I find that it is an overall consistent program of different things together that provide the most success. Taking action with any of these things helps us to take control of our body which is perhaps the biggest part of the battle.
Good luck! Lon grushko

I am a massage therapist and I know that if you have a curvature of the spine, that can be the cause of so much pain! You may want to try a massage therapist (make sure you get a lisenced one) or maybe even a ralpher (not sure on the spelling) a chiropractor might be a good bet as well. The chiropractor can help place the spine in the correct spot and then the massage therapist can retrain your muscle spindles so they aren't pulling on your spine.

have you thought of SPINAL DECOMPRESSION?? it is a technique that many people with back pain truly get relief from. i know a great doctor in MA named Dr. John P. Tsonis and he has worked on me and also my grandparents. He is absolutely wonderful and I am living a much better life now.
