My Little Brother Has Been Diagnosed With Schizophrenia Posted: 06-09-06 11:16am
Hi at first I though my brother was
suffering from ocd and found a forum were
I was able to say the things that I could
not say to my other 2 brothers or my
parents, then when he was diagnosed I had
to leave and have been looking for a new
out let and some one to talk to and am now
releaved to have found this web site.
:)
its been 9 months now since my parents had
my brother sectioned and he was taken to
hospital to help him from hurting him self
or others.
In that time I have become his main
career, im the big sister of the boys and
I suppose it was taken for granted that I
would look after him now as I did when
they were kids.
He has been diagnosed but he himself is
still in that big river of denile.Even
though he has now been moved to a
residental home to help him learn basics
and things are looking a bit better, I was
wondering if any one was there going
through the same thing who would like to
chat.

I really do not know what to say, I am
sure that it must be hard on you but I do
hope that he gets the love and the help
that he needs!
The best to you and your brother and all!

Dont know what to say to be honest but a
big thank you for all who have taken time
to talk to me, might sound silly bit it
feels like its been ages since some one
wants to answer my questions rather than
me having to answer every one elses.
Every one wants to know how stephen is
doing how hes coping suppose it is a
little selfish that I would want them to
ask how I am, but its been a long 9
months.
Will try that other site but would like to
stick around here :)

Ive said this to evry reply so far lol,
but meditation and especially yogic
breathing could be a great aid in helping
your brother in his recovery.
Yoga wouldnt have survived thus far if it
wasnt a great tool for bringing calm,
balance and peace to those who practice
it.
Yogic breathing regulates the bodies
energy flow, so when breathing is done
correctly a smooth, pure flow of energy is
radiated out along with any extra bagage
such as stress.
I would also reccomend alot of walkking
and general outdoors activity. Green is
the universal colour of healing, and mother
nature is always willing to help heal
us.
Talk to him, ask him questions, but direct
him in a direction of harmony, whatever it
may be.
Hope this helps,
(=^_^=)
