Regular But Not Ovulating? Posted: 06-09-06 13:09pm
I don't know if this question has been
asked before, if it has then my apologies.
After my mc in january my cycle jumped
from 28 days to 31 days then in april it
went back down to 28 days and has remained
at 28 days so far. I've been ttc since
january and nothing has happened, I guess
i'm just being paranoid but is is possible
to have a regular cycle but still not be
ovulating?

Unlikely, since ovualtion is directly
linked to menstruation. When a women gets
her mesntrual period regularly each month
( regardless of the couple of day
difference)it is said by most Dr. That
ovulation has more likely taken place. It
is not unlikely to have an anovulatory
cycle from time to time and that will
cause a delay in your period or to skip it
altogether for that cycle or cause
breakthrough bleeding. Every month a
fertile couple has a 20-25% chance of
achieving pregnancy, so really it can take
months before it happens again for you. I
would recommend temp'ing for ovulation if
not, have sex at least 3 times weekly
every week monthly. Good luck and sorry
bout your m/c

Thanks emma2, since my af is never even a
day late then I would assume that i'm fine
then. The waiting is just incredibly
hard.

Yeah I hear you! Its so funny how when
woen dont want to be pregnant it happens
so easily and when they want it so bad
they have dreams about it ...Everything
seems to go wrong ! But hang in there
your cycle seems steady and normal it will
happen soon enough!
