Vaginal Itchiness>what Is It!?!?!? Posted: 06-09-06 22:53pm
Hello everyone...I haven't had sex for
exactly 2 weeks now. I have been on
amoxicillin(antibiotic) 500mg 3xday for
exactly one week now. I just started
getting really itchy on the inside of my
vagina lips and vagina entrance on
wednesday june 7th. I was tested for all
std's and hiv back in february 2006 and I
was clean for everything. I don't have
any other symptoms except the itchiness I
described. Does anyone know what it is?
Funds are limited right now so I am coming
here for advice first! Thank you!

I had this recently. I have no idea what
it is or what causes it. I started
getting it about a week after i'd had sex.
It was so itchy I thought I must have
picked up a yeast infection or something,
so I went to the doctors and got
prescribed a pessary. I didnt want to
use it till after my period was finished,
so I waited, but I found that after a few
days it was going away, and within a week
it was gone completely. Im fine now and I
never needed to use the pessary. Maybe
yours is just irritation. Give it time.
If it still doesnt go away, then maybe
it's thrush

My mom told me I might have the beginning
of a yeast infection from the antibiotics,
they flush out everything and I was
supposed to eat yogurt with the antibiotic
pills, but didn't because no one told me
too! So hopefully I dont have a yeast
infection, but that is most likely what it
is! Better than an std anyday! :o
