Anxious about Colonoscopy Posted: 06-11-06 07:04am
I have had irrefular stools since I can
remember (constipation, diarr, narrow,
both, etc..). Have had a bloating,
irritable feeling in my stomach/abdomin
since all this has come about. My diet is
less than stellar and I have hx of alcohol
use (recently quit entirely). Since bro
was dx, I have a colonoscopy scheduled and
am terrified of results. Every web site I
go to has the above as risk factors and
now with the heredity peice, I am scared
to death. Anything I can do to ease the
worry?

will reverse the results of the
colonoscopy. Colonoscopies are routine
examinations that occur in medical offices
hundreds of times a day. You can try to
center your mind on positive thoughts and
visualise a healthy body and a healthy
colon. You might also consider consulting
a licensed nutritionist or your general
practitioner for help in planning a more
healthy diet with plenty of organic
fruits, vegetables, and other whole foods
(grains, legumes, proteins).
