Hi I am 26 yrs old and was diagnosed with
pre-mature ovarian failure @ 18 yrs of
age. I am now undergoing ivf my 4th
transfer was may 16th and it was positive
but ended up to be a m/c. I was wondering
if we need estrogen in our body while we
are pregnant until the placenta forms?
My clinic seem to think the embryo
produces the estrogen and I have a very
hard time beleiving that. Please help! I
was on progesterone for a while until I
lost the baby but I need to know if we
need estrogen because woman with pof do
not produce their own! Thank you for your
reply!

estrogen
regulates progesterone, protecting
pregnancy. It also kick-starts one of the
major processes of fetal maturation.
Without it, a fetus's lungs, liver and
other organs and tissues cannot mature.
