First Timer Here~ 18~ Pls. Give Any Advice Posted: 01-13-04 18:23pm
Hi everyone~ I am 18 and I am 13 weeks
preg tomorrow. I am not with the father
anymore, actually he is the biggest
problem to me ever sense I told him. I
found out I was preg. 1 1/2 months ago,
and I told him right away, ive only
talked to him once sense. All he does is
yell at me and tell me to get an
abortion.I dont know if he will be there
or not for the baby. I will make him pay
child support but I dont know about him
being the baby's father. He says now he
might move out of state. It's a big
mess. Anyhow I am sooo worried to do
this alone.. I am worried about not
being enough for the baby etc...Are there
any of you goinng through a similar
situation with the dad? Wow I feel way
too young to be pregnant and im 18 and I
read there were some of you pregnant at 14
and 15? I cannot imagine.... Also..
I feel like I am gaining weight too fast..
How much have any of u gained around my
weeks? Anyhow, ive went to the doctor..
Had an ultrasound and heard the
heartbeat. That part was very exciting!
Also, another thing about me, I have been
anorexic for a year and then bulimic for
the past year..So this is very rough for
me to gain this weight.. But I havent
acted on my bulimia sense I found out
(mean I havent thrown up once or
restricted my food intake) so..This baby
was definitly my motivator for getting
better. Well hope to hear from some
people soon and hopefully hear from some
people in a similar situation. Thanks

Hey kari, welcome to the board! My name's
vanessa, i'm 16 1/2 and 10.1 weeks
pregnant with my first child...I'm still
with the father and we're surprisingly
making it work so far..Im still ready to
raise my child as a single mother though,
becasue I know most guys bail when they
hear the word baby. I'm sorry to hear
about your baby's father..."every child
deserves their father, but not every
father deserves their child"...It's so
true, especially in this case...This guy
has no idea what he's missing out on...A
human being that you and him made
together, a new life....Well, it's just
more for you to enjoy right? Do you have
the support of your family? Do you go to
school? It's amazing hearing the
heartbeat isn't it? It's like that's
coming from inside me?! As for the weight
gain, i've gained 4lbs so far...How much
have you gained? I've got aol too....
Crombiebabie04 if you want to talk,
especially since we're around the same
weeks in our preg......Best of luck and

Hey hun ,thanks for replying* to answer
your questions~ I do have my family's
support,but so far they want me to move
out a few months after the baby is born
and I am graduated from highschool as of
last year but im not in college yet and I
have gained like 15 lbs.., but part of my
rapid weight gain was probably because my
body was getting used to eating normal
amounts of food again due to my recovering
from my eating disorder because I went
from eating like 500-800 cals a day, to
1,500-2000. But yes it is thrilling to
hear the heartbeat. U heard your
already? Also.. What grade r u in?
And what about your family? I will add
your s/n*
i only got one reply . . No one else
is goin through this with the father etc?
O well. .Hopefully at least people have
read it and know a little about me now*

Hi sweetie! My name is kelly, I am 19
years old and have a 5 year old little
girl. When I told her father, caler, that
I was pregnant he told me to get an
abortion, when I didn't he started beating
me up, he did this for 5 months, he even
got me in the stomach a few times. But
after he left us we pulled through! She
is now happy and healthy and until
recently we hadn't heard from caler for
almost 6 years. Now he came back and you
can read the rest of the story in my post
"the meeting". You can raise your baby by
yourself hun!

still are young and have 3! U must be so
strong! And im so happy for u that ur
still w/ the father*
kelly~ i'm so sorry of what he did to u..
I cannot believe that.. He doesnt
deserve to be in that childs life, or
yours.. I will go read the meeting so I
can find out what happened.

O yeah, I was with him on and off, we were
together for 3 months in the summer, then
we dated again in oct. For only a few
weeks.. Then I got preg. During that
time cuz I am 3 months now. I told him
dec 4th , the same day I found out. He
basically demanded abortion...But once I
said no, he turned into an problem and did
nothing but yell and me and tell everyone
I was just some promiscuous person he
hooked up w/ one nite...Who knows what
will happen. His parents still want to
see the baby. But I dont know if he
will. He wont talk to me tho. His mom
asked me to contact him to talk things
over.. So I called him and left a
message.. Then he called me, yelled at
me for calling him, and hung up. That
was a few days ago..Who knows.. Icant
explain the hate I feel for him. But my
current, new boyfriend of only a few weeks
is so understanding and he says he will
love the kid like its his own if were stil
ltogether* which he says we will be* so im
happy I have him at least. .And this
beautiful baby!
