Constant Pain? Not Attacks

Yes my pain is more or less constant the last 2 days it's slightly dulled a bit, but then it comes back. It wakes me up sometimes. It's been that way for about 3 weeks. I think it's more rare to experience the constant pain.

I have had the pain under my ribs for about 5 months now. It is a constant burning crampy discomfort. I am going for an ultrasound on monday.

I am living with constant pain, right side, under ribs and through the back,right shoulder blade and on the right side of my neck for 5 years (five years) it is not a joke, at the beginning was every once in a while, i've being missdiagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, calcium deposit in my scalpula and shoulder blade,i had being through so many doctors and tests,bone scan, mri, ct scan etc...Etc... And all exams you can think of I had 3 unnecessary surgery in my shoulder and the pain is more intense then it was before it gets worse when I am sitting and when I am laying in my back or in my right side it is very frustrating special because I went through so much and no doctor can tell me what is wrong with me I have tried all kind of pain medication and nothing is helping me I can do nothing with my right arm anymore it keeps me from sleep. Please let me know if there is anyone in this planet with the same constant pain or any information about this horrible pain that is making my life miserable.

did you have your gallbladder checked out? Ask to have a hida scan. I also had the constant pain under my ribs. I also had ultrasounds, ct scans blood work, cystoscopy. Its seems like I was tested for everything. Finally I had an abdominal ultrasound. Came back normal. Then my doctor had me go for a hida scan which came back abnormal, my gallbladder was not functioning the way it was supposed to, causing all of my problems. I had my gallbladder removed last week. Before surgery my surgeon told me that I may experience shoulder and neck pain on my right side because they share the same nerve as the gallbladder. This might explain the pain in your shoulder in addition to the pain on your right side under your ribs. Do you ever experience nausea?

I know you have been tested for eveythign and after a while you just get tired of going to the doctor, but maybe you should ask your doctor to have your gallbladder checked, especially with the hida scan. Good luck and please post to let me know how you made out.

thank you so much for telling me about your constant pain problem I will talk to my doctor to have my galbladder checked. I am so happy and full of hope that they can find what is causing so much pain I do experience nausea every time I eat or drink something it is horrible. I will keep you posted.
