So this is about the 4th time it's happened now. A couple of weeks ago I was just standing up for about 10 minutes and I told mum I had to go and sit down coz I felt faint. Then all of a sudden my breathing was rapid and felt like I was choking, I had a temperature, went white and felt really sick. After about 5 minutes I was fine but still felt funny. It happened 3 times that weekend and happened again really badly on the weekend, mum and dad had to pull over on the side of the road and get me out of the car coz it was like I couldnt breathe at all and I was again about to faint. I told my doc this and he said its just my blood pressure from being pregnant. Is this normal? I'm just a bit worried coz in a book I have it says if you get rapid breathing etc go straight to the er. What do you think?

Fainting is normal in pregnacy, I fainted a couple of times when I was preg, usually when I was stressed out and my blood pressure dropped but I never had breathing problems. If I was you I would get a second opinion if you can it doesn't quite sound right.

Thanks, i'm not to worried about the fainting becuase I know that does happen. It's the breathing that's really worrying me. I literally grab my throat as if someone's strangling me or i'm choking, it's really scary. Mum is so worried coz she thinks it could be harming the baby.

Definatley get a second opinion from another doctor or go to the hospital and get it checked out!
Even if it is nothing it will put your mind to rest. And you don't need to be stressing out right now. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I kind of had the same thing happen to me during my pregnancy. I would feel like I was going to black out, i'd start shaking, be unable to catch my breath (rapid, shallow breathing) get unbearably hot and get a headache. My doc claimed at first that it was blood pressure and then claimed that it was stress. I never did find out what it truly was but it went away in the third trimester. If I were you though, I wouldn't just accept the crappy explanations (i'm sorry that I did, I may have been able to get rid of it sooner), i'd keep talking to doctors until someone could tell me definitely what was wrong.

yeah, it amazes me that doctors can locate and kill cancer cells but they can't give me a reason why I was having those fainting/dizzy spells...
