I took a blood test last week to see if my
one remaining ovary is still functioning.
I had a radical hysterectomy to remove
and treat cervical cancer six months ago.
My surgeon moved one ovary so that if I
needed radiation later I would keep one
functioning ovary. As bad luck had it, I
did need radiation so I lost one for sure.
I am only 35 and am starting get hot
flashed and night sweats. My Dr. Wants
to check my ovary function, so he ordered
this test. I got the results from the
nurse, but she didn't know what the
numbers meant, and my Dr. Is out of town
until next week. The nurse told me that
the number was 83.5, but she didn't know
exactly what that meant. I have no idea,
but would appreciate it greatly if someone
could tell me what this means.
