Back Pain/nerve Damage On Yasmin???? Posted: 06-14-06 01:00am
Anyone have this? It's lower back
pain...Kind of like a dull pain, with
occassional sharp pains depending on my
movments. Basically it feels like I need
an adjustment, badly. I read a post on
here the other day about someone who had
had back pain while on yasmin and it ended
up giving them permanent nerve
damage...And now that I think I may be
having a similar issue, I can't find the
post.
I'm like 90% sure that this is
yasmin....I've been on other bc's...And no
backpain!
Can anyone give me some insight? Or
maybe someone knows where that post is?
I think I had backpain on yasmin also, but
I think I was getting backpain despite the
birth control because it's not uncommon to
get one due to onset of your period.

No, this back pain is all throughout the
month....It's not at the onset of a
period.
I would definitely go to the doctors then.
Even if insurance doesn't cover the
visit, if something is wrong it will be
even more expensive to fix it, and also it
may be better to get it off your mind.
Who knows, maybe they can give you
something for it, or even confirm it's the
yasmin! I wish I could be more help, but
the 7-8 months I was on yasmin is a total
blur, I was a mess. It wouldnt surprise
me if the backpain was related, and it
might be a good idea to go a website
search with the question "backpain related
to yasmin?"
i still recommend checking out that site.
Yasmin is on the worstpills.Org list as
well. It should be recalled, in my
opinion. It works wonderfully at
preventing pregnancy, but it ruins your
body and mind. Ever birth control has
risks, and everyone reacts differently,
but it just seems the cons outweigh the
pros.

I would definitely have a talk with your
dr and show him this article and insist
that he change your b/c and ask
him/her(your dr) about it. Keep an eye on
it in case it gets worse as I am not a Dr.
And I have not used yasmin. If your dr
has prescribed it to you, more then likely
the dr has prescribed it to others.
Good luck
I always tell everyone, go with what your
body says, not what your doctor says.
Although everyone needs a health care
provider, they're not infallible. I told
my health care provider at school that
yasmin was on the worst pills list and
they looked at me as if I was crazy and
told me I was wrong and that the symptoms
I had been feeling were insane.
