Q: Question, Baby Or No Baby??

Okay, i've asked you all a similar question a few days ago.. But now theres more to it than I thought. I started a new pack of ortho tri cyclen lo about 2 weeks ago.. I take my pills around 10 am very day, I missed my first pill of the pack and started wth the second pill. I finished the 1st set of white active pills and took one light blue active pill the next day, then went out of town and left my birth control behind on accident. It was 2 days before I could go get them. So I missed the second 2 light blue pills. Yesterday when I got the pills back, around 7pm I took the 2 pills I missed and i'll be taking 2 pills today to catch back up. My question is... My hubby and I slept together the past 3 nights, usually he pulls out if ive missed pills (we dont use another kind of birth control because he hates condoms and we believe if I get pregnant it was meant to be anyway) but last night he didnt pull out. I dont know if I ovulated because of this..How likely is it that i'll be pregnant? What time should I take the 2 pills today? When is the soonest I can test? Also, I dont know if this has anything to do with missing the pills or something, or maybe I just have a virus, but the past 2-3 days ive been sweating when im ususally freezing, ive had light abdominal cramps, and have been very tired.

I don't think that you would be having any preggy symptoms yet if you are pregnant. Usually, you don't get symptoms until you can get a positive preg test. Aren't the blue pills "sugar" pills? Don't they not mean anything but to remind you to keep taking your pills? When I was on the pill, I had sex during the time when I was supposed to take the "sugar" pills and didn't get pregnant. And I never took the "sugar" pills. I always skipped them. I think it's the other pills that control your cycle. But since you missed those, i'm not sure what happens... Maybe i'm confused all together... But you seemed to be dying for a response so... Hope I helped:)

That's what I was thinking too megums, but she referred to the pills as "the white active pills" and "the blue active pills". I've never taken the pill so I didn't know why there would be 2 different colored active pills.

About Pills
Thanks for the reply :) i'm on ortho tri cyclen lo. I have a week of white active pills, a week of light blue active pills, a week of dark blue active pills, and 7 green sugar pills. So this was in the first part of the second week.

Missing 2 pills will hardly get you pregnant. Don't worry about it. I have missed more than 2 consecutively and it never got me pregnant. And they say not to double up with certain brands because it will or can cause breakthrough bleeding and throw off your cycle. I would not stress the liklyhood of pregnancy is slim to none.

Well, that is quite confusing... Anytime you miss a pill or are late for a pill, you have an increased chance of getting pregnant. Wait until your period is due and test. That's all you can do

Yeah emma you have a point
when I was on the pill, they told me that you would have to miss 3 consequtive days to reverse the "pill" action.

Yeah emma you have a point, I forgot about that... When I was on the pill, they told me that though your chance for pregnancy increases if you miss a pill, you would need to miss 3 consequtive days in order to reverse the pills

No, you didn't miss yesterday since you took a pill. Even though you took it late, you still took it. 8 hours isn't that long.

I have to say that missing or skipping a pill shouldn't really alter the chance of you getting preggers. It's normally a few pills that have to be missed. I do know when my couz went off the pill to get preggers nothing happened for like 4 months and the doc said that was normal for the lenght of time that she had been taking the pill anyway. Now I on the other hand with my first got preggers never having missed or skipped a pill. I shouldn't have been able to get preggers but lo and behold here's baby.

So everyone is different....Just wait until you acctually miss a period and go from there. I wouldn't double up on a pill cauz it could cause you to skip your period or start bleeding worse. Just throw one away and take the one for today.

Why are you taking the pill if you wish to become pregnant? Does your husband know that you want to be pregnant? These are life long decisions you should be making with him. Not going around skipping pills.

If birth control pills aren't convenient for you (and it sounds like they aren't) there are other forms of birth control you can use.

I hate how you're criticized on these things.. I know what im doing, im not just "skipping pills" to be skipping pills, like I said, I went out of town and left some of my luggage at my parents home. We both want to be pregnant in 6 months. We both agree that if it happens now, we're ready. Obviously I want a baby now, im married and have a new house, a good job and a wonderful husband.. Who wouldnt? We dont really care when it happens, we just know we want to be pregnant in 6 months and im wondering if I should just finish this pack and start trying now.. Im 20 years old, how long does it take to get pregnant right off bc?

The white pills are active, the blue pills are for when your on your period, called placebo's. They don't have anything in them. I think she's confused about them. Maybe...
