Lol this is rediculous... I dunno if your bc is different or what, my active pills are blue and white.. My placebo/sugar/inactive pills are green, and I know they dont really matter that much, if it were the green pills I missed, I wouldnt have any questions.

Everyone's body is different. Some people might get pregnant their first month of trying, others it can take over a year. I've never been on the pill and it took me 8 months the first time and 4 the second. You just have to be patient and have a lot of sex (that's not so bad!).

thanks... I'm planning on trying to get pregnant in like 6 months anyway.. When should I stop taking the pill?

if you plan on ttc'ing for a child in 6 months, you should stop the pill 3 months prior to regulate your cycles and ensure that its working on it own.

Well then stop using the pill and let your body do whatever it is to get back to normal and use another method of b/c. Never mind hubby not liking the comdom....Make him use it....Who cares bout his satisfaction. Lol

just kidding, but if you dont' like the pill and dont' want to use it just don't.

i hate how you're criticized on these things.. I know what im doing, im not just "skipping pills" to be skipping pills, like I said, I went out of town and left some of my luggage at my parents home. We both want to be pregnant in 6 months. We both agree that if it happens now, we're ready. Obviously I want a baby now, im married and have a new house, a good job and a wonderful husband.. Who wouldnt? We dont really care when it happens, we just know we want to be pregnant in 6 months and im wondering if I should just finish this pack and start trying now.. Im 20 years old, how long does it take to get pregnant right off bc?

i came off the nuvaring in january and I got pregnant in march. I was lucky. Most women don't get so lucky

i wasn't criticizing, I was merely asking a question. And it doesn't sound like it is convenient to you to use this form of birth control if you had forgotten it. That was all I said.

It can take awhile after birth control for your body to regulate itself. Your cycles may be 'off' for a few months. It is recommended to wait 3 months after birth control pills to try and conceive. Read the insert on your birth control pack, you do not want to become pregnant while taking those pills.

Good luck!

I've heard of some people going off birth control to prepare their bodies for a baby, and in the mean time.. They just dont have sex at certain times... I know that obviously when they ovulate... But what kind of window should I give myself... Like dont have sex that whole week??

I don't know about if your pregnant or your chances of being pregnant. But if you are sure that within the next 6months you would like to become pregnant I would stop using the pills now and just maybe use condoms until your really ready to try. The longer you are on pills the longer(sometimes) it takes your body to become pregnant.

Don't quit mid-cycle though. That can really mess up your cycle. Quit when you start the sugar pills to lessen the risk of having a late or screwed up period.

A friend of mine went off the pill for 18 months before they started trying - she fell pregnant straight away. I was on the pill for 5 years and went off the pill and it took us 15 months to fall pregnant. Give your body time to get back to 'normal'.

Good luck and remember to have fun - dont make it a chore!
