If i'm ovualting right now! I just left class and I kept getting really sharp pains in my left side and some feelings of period cramps and then on the drive home by boobies were kind of aching like hey notice me kind of feeling but now that i'm home I dont have the thick white mucus but I should ovulate today through sunday b/c cycle was 28 days making today day 14 but then I had a 30 day so then it ould be saturday. So........What do you think ovulation or no? I have also been taking prenatal vitamins and the tussin to help so i'm not sure if that would be making this different.

Symptoms such as yours can happen before , during or after ovulation . There is no supporting evidence that anyone of it can be pinpointed to the "t". If you had a 30 day cycle with a 14 day luteal phase then your expected "o" date should be between cd14-17. All you can do is get busy and hope for the best.

P.S. Sex the day of ovualtion is less likely to get your pregnant v.S. 2 days prior to. This is simply because it takes on average sperm 12 hour to prep themselves for thier journey into the tubes. Get busy busy busy!

Have your man take the tussin, not you. The alcohol will thin out the mucus that carries the sperm for easier traveling.

Good luck girl!!! Just sit back and let nature take it's course. From what i've seen, the women that obsess over it take longer to conceive than women who tend to not worry about it.

Have fun in the process!!!

Robitussin...

I'm not sure if it's a myth or if it really has an effect, but from what i've heard, if your man takes .Robitussin it will thin out the mucus..Yada yada

i'm sure it couldn't hurt to try.

But I do know that placing a pillow under your but to elevate your genital area after sperm has been injected to help them reach their "destination" is a total waste of time. Doctors have said this over and over and women still lift their legs after sex.

The sperm will get there reguardless of if you lift your legs!

See thats why I was confused....There is no way it will help the man ...Its the woman who is suppose to be taking it. It sher cervical mucus that inhibits the sperm from entering not the other way around.....But in any case youre right its a myth and has not been proven......And lifting your legs is also not necessary because sperm enters your cervix within seconds after ejaculation...A mans ejaculation shoots sperm something like 100 mph and sperm are desgined to swim upwards...None if this is really needed to concieve...But I guess its all fun but most old wives tales.
