23 And Scared!! Colon Cancer?? Posted: 06-17-06 01:40am
Hello everyone. I am a 23 y.O. Male
that is scared to death. This is my
first time on this site so I hope it
helps. Anyways, I have been seeing blood
on my toilet paper almost every bowl
movement for over 2 years now and every
once in awhile there will be visible blood
in my stool or even enough to color water.
I am in good shape and have been on a
diet which consists of no red meat. I do
however chew tobacco and have done so for
the past 9 years.
I am in the military so it is very hard to
go up to my higher ups and tell them I
need to go to the doc because "my ass is
bleeding". I also haven't told my wife
or any of my family members of this mostly
because I am embarassed.
As far as history I have lost two
grandparents to cancer and my aunt is
currently recovering. It has only been
women in my family to suffer from cancer
so could it get me? Please help me out
with some much needed advice!! Thank
you!

one has respond. I really would like to
hear from someone who has experienced
anything like this or am I just worrying

Hey its sounds like u may have hemmorids
if your butt is bleeding? Im not a
doctor but I have also gone through that.
Of course u should be checked tho. Im not
a Dr. I hope this eases your mind :)

Im a 23 y/o female and I also have rectal
bleeding. The doctor told me that I have
internal hemmorhoids. Ive cjecked and I
cant see them. I also have mild anemia,
but I have no idea why, so im taking
vitamins.

Hello everyone... I just wanted to let
everyone know about my doctors appt. I
found out today that it wasn't hemmroids.
I was put on a perscription for something
that ive never heard of. They are
treating me for "giardia". From what I
understand it is a parasite that attacks
the colon. The doc really didn't tell me
much about it besides it can be found in
untreated water. They do not know if
that is what I have but they want to see
if treatment will help. I also have a
colonoscopy scheduled two weeks from now.

you know anything about this parasite I
would love to hear more..
