Breakthrough Bleeding Posted: 06-18-06 17:00pm
I am on 4th month of desogen and have had
more spotting this first week than past 2
months. I had some spotting first month
with switch from seasonale but the only
other times have been on 21st day of 2nd
and 3rd month. I have been really
stressed at work and husband is changing
job positions so I think that has added to
it. Could this be the cause? I have
thought about letting dr know, but read a
reply to someone on this forum that it may
take up to 6 months to adjust to hormones?
This is the 3rd pill I have tried and
dont want to trial another. Any
information someone can give me would be
appreciated.
Thanks!

Have you taken pills late? Missed pills
etc? Are you on any herns or
medications?
Somethings do interact with pills, like
antibiotics, sanit johns wort, and
topamax.

That would not cause a change..Are you
significantly overweight? Or are you over
160 pounds? There are some reports that
hevaier women need higher doses of birth
control to keep a proper hormone level in
their system.

Yes, am overweight, more than 160 pounds,
trying to lose, but that is hard with the
hormones too and, I think, my age, am 39

Most likely that could be why you are
spotting! Have you considered an iud?
They are hormone free and do not cause any
hormone related side effects =)
