Sorry if this offends you but I have to say it...Shes only a few weeks old and shes overweight already, that looks bad to me. It puts more strain on the heart if your overweight, its unhealthy, I feel really sorry for that baby =/ you must be feeding her too much, like I said before a lot of parents feed their baby almost everytime they cry, just to shut them up. Its abuse in my opinion. (not saying thats what ur doing but somethings not right there by looking at her) shes so young too.

Honey...There's no way your uneducated comments would offend me.

For you to speak so passionately about something you know nothing about is what "urks" me.

You feel that i'm abusing my child by feeding her everytime she cries?? What makes you come to the conclusion that I feed her everytime she cries??

I don't say one word to you when people are calling you trash for getting "twisted" like you claim and then turn around and supposedly stick your breast in your child's mouth. When you can come to me with a clean record, and when even one person likes you, maybe i'll listen to what you have to say.

I feed my daughter 6oz. Every 4 hours with water in between her feedings. This schedule is recommended by her pediatrician. I have no need to explain myself to you, this is for the people who don't know this already.

The day you become a pediatrician, holla at me.

Lol! Why say your not offended then say all that crap about no one liking me? If I cared about that I woulda left that time when everyone was health forum about me lol. You obviously got offended, and im glad, because hopefully you'll change for the babys sake.

I spoke up for her and thats all I can do. Anyone looking at her pictures can see shes basically fat, not just chubby but shes fat. When shes layed down shes got a whole extra load of it stuck out around her chin. Ive seen chubby babies but shes a lot more than chubby, and a lot younger. I hope you do something about it soon for her sake, poor thing...

I remember you saying you put baby food in her bottle already when shes only a few weeks old, which is way too early, so maybe thats your problem.

Allie, you have no right judging someones parenting when yours could use alot of work, mrs go out & get drunk, have sex, do drugs and leave your kid with a sitter that you don't even know. Hmm wonder if you even have a baby for that matter??? Poor "lucas" as he is probably a barbie you carry around in a carseat...

Babymajic0506- I don't know you much but i'm gonna put in my 2cents..And no I am not agreeing with allie, because that b*tch is a freakin' lunatic that needs to go drink her tea & eat her muffins. But...
My son is almost 4 months old and only drinks 4 oz every 3 hours...You feed her 6oz and water? That does seem like a little much. Also, my pediatrician says not to give the baby water because they get enough of it in their formula. I know every pediatrician is different...But.....

I researched this on a couple websites.

The infant who has a tummy full of water will drink less milk at his feedings, and his mother's breasts will decrease milk production in response. The result: the baby gets less milk, and may not grow as well. One study in australia found that newborns who were given water with sugar after each feeding at the breast lost more weight than babies who were breastfed exclusively. In addition, if the water is given in a bottle, the baby's sucking technique may become confused

according to the american academy of pediatrics, "during the nursing period, the amount of water needed by infants to replace water loss from the skin and lungs, feces, and urine, and to provide for growth, is available in human milk and formula. Healthy infants usually require no supplemental water, except in hot weather."

i'm not saying your a bad parent, but maybe you should get advice from a few other doctors.

It's not about anyone's opinion, or whos right & whos wrong.

It's for her health..And it doesn't hurt to ask more than 1 person for medical advice on what she should be eating.

A baby shouldn't even have cereal until 3-4 months, brayden has only been on it for a couple of weeks. That, plus water & 6oz of formula is way too much.

It's her baby though, and her choice. She'll regret it though when her baby becomes obese, which I bet will be the case if she keeps feeding her like she does.

She said in another post her doctor said her baby was gaining way too much weight, if that isn't a sign to stop feeding her so much, then I don't know what is?

Wait until she gets obese and go on that show "honey were killing the kids" maybe that'll open up her eyes.

Okay, I just want to add in that the babies dad is overweight and I know for a fact that having overweight parent(s) has a big issue in it aswell.

I'm not saying the baby is fat, she's a beautiful baby but 6oz, plus water & cereal? That's a bit harsh, I think. And i'm sure anyone else would agree with me that it's too much.

You don't feed a 3 week old like that, it's not normal...

Sandra just because your son turned out ok on being given food at just 8 weeks old in his bottle, doesnt mean every baby will. If it wasnt the right thing to do, if that age wasnt too soon, then health professionals would be advising it! Besides that, you dont know if your son has turned out ok, hes only a toddler, giving them food too early could result in long term digestive problems when they get older. We dont know! But the doctors etc do, so parents should be listening to them! They dont advise something for no reason.

Yeh a lot are chubby, but not at 3 weeks old! And thats not really overweight, chubby isnt fat. Shes fat! Im not sugar coating it just to make her feel happy like you are. Babies cant speak up for themselves. She needs to be given less food like dalicia said aswell. Anyone seeing those photos knows shes fat if u cant sandra then u need glasses ffs! Im not posting to be nasty, its because I care about the baby and want this to get sorted out for her health. But her mums gonna do w/e she wants, I just feel sorry for her. Ive tried and thats all I can do, im not saying anything further about it, its upto her mum to sort this out.

I do make the best choices for my child thanks sandra! And dalicia, going out one night a week having fun, while my son is safe with a babysitter, is not doing anything wrong or making me an unfit parent. Unlike you doing drugs every single day, your a drug addict who posts pictures of a relatives or friends baby! If anyones a faker its you! That baby isnt even yours. Stop bringing it up its really old.

Ok ok ok....This is enough. I never thought that me posting pics of my angel would cause this much controversy.

My child is at the point all of a sudden where she doesn't drink the water. I'll .O.F.F.E.R it if she can't wait until her next feeding without throwing a fit. I know I said in the post that she'll drink it, but for the past week she's been refusing it. Her .Dr suggests that the least amount of water she should take in is 4oz.

Now, we live in .New .Orleans, which is waaaay more humid, muggy, and hot than any other state, you have to keep this in mind. She would totally dehydrate if I gave her .N.O water....Ya know?

She makes 2months tomorrow and i'm constantly getting comments on how .T.I.N.Y she is. Never of how fat she is.

I understand what you're sayin .D, I should get a second opinion, but she's happy. I stopped her on the vegetables and only give her cereal at night. S*it a 2 month old that sleeps for 6 hours...Ya really can't hate that!!

Ally, all I was saying about you is, when you become a fit mother, holla, cuz your track record shows different.

These pics were just taken .Sunday. Not when she was 3 weeks. She's had a double chin since she was born.

There are babies .B.O.R.N at 10/11 lbs....Does that mean they're going to be obese?

D, my man is "fat" for a reason, you can't build muscle without fat. He benches 210 and will drop the fat fater than a track runner. Yea, he's big boned, but not fat. Lol....I'll tell him he his to make his determination stronger. Both of my parents are 250+ and i've never exceeded 150 except during my pregnancy. So having fat parents has nothing to do with the child. It's all about what and how much the child eats. My mother had me on the same diet I have my child on and I am fine.

I know this was a great debate, but I hate it to be at my childs expence.

My daughter is totally healthy and will continue to thrive in the manner she's been doing it in.

I really do appreciate everyone's opinions and will take .S.O.M.E of what a certain few people said into consideration. But every state, every doctor, and every child is different. Just because .Bray takes 4oz, has nothing to do with my child. Ya know??

Thanks again for the concern and for the people who understand where i'm coming from, thanks for helpin a sista out!!

girl, the .Dr tells me every time I go that she's gained .Waaaay to much weight. But I don't listen!! She's eating 6oz now with cereal at night and she's sleeping 6 hours at night!! Wooohoooo!!!! You don't know how happy I am that she's doing that now!!

Sarah

even her doctor says the same! What kind of mother doesnt listen to a doctors advice when hes clearly right, shes fat ffs, unfit mothers thats who! Her health should be more important to you than the amount of sleep you are getting.
