Hi there, I posted this as a doctor question, but i'd love the opinion of people who have been pregnant, or are pregnant. I hope noone minds that I posted this twice.
I was wondering to what degree an ultrasound can determine date of conception. A woman I recently slept with has become pregnant, but she slept with someone else several days after she slept with me. How many days apart do the two instances of intercourse have to be in order to determine paternity from an ultrasound?

If it's only a couple of days then i'm sorry but you will most likely need to get a paternity test done unless, the kid is a spitting image of one or another.

A paternity test is needed to tell this kind of thing. Sperm can live inside a woman for several days (2-5). So unless you know for exact sure when she did sleep with this other person and exactly when she may have ovulated (again, that is a very large window and unless she was charting and temping you wouldn't know) you wouldn't know who the father was.

Good luck and remember it is better and way safer to always wear a condom! ;)

I can tell you what the doctors say about the accuracy of conception dates. But I won't. I'll tell you that personally mine was off by about a week and a half to two weeks.

I am sorry but you really aren't going to know seeing as how she slept with the other guy a few days later. You are going to have to wait until the girl delivers and give them blood. I would tell you not to sign anything or do anything along those lines before you can find out if it's your's or not.
