I know it's possible to get pregnant when
you're on birth control but also taking
antibiotics... Well, i've been on
penicilin for roughly a week and still
have a few more doses to take. I've
been having sex without a condom, my
boyfriend doesn't come in me (and hasn't
in a long time) and he also never seems to
have pre-come (who knows, though).
Anyone know how long you need to use a
backup method to be protected because of
the antibiotics or if penicillin really is
one of the antibiotics that decreases the
effect of birth control? I'm on ortho lo.
I've read conflicting things. Kimmeh,
i'm pretty sure you said you got preg this
way... Let me know... Thanks girls

All it needs is one droplet love and men
get that as soon as they are arroused,as
for antibiotics I think you have to use
protection during taking them and seven
days after

Im not sure if you want to be pregnant or
not but you need to use backup until a few
days after your antibiotics are finshed.

yeah isn't it such a great birth control.
I was put on it to help regulate my
hormones because I had a cyst rupture on
my ovary.
Walla here you have it now I am prego =x
good luck with birth control, I have never
been worried about getting pregnant
before. I was put on birth control, I
never got to start my period, I was put on
it right away for the cyst.
I found out I was pregnant sunday night in
the er.
Good luck to all those who use birth
control, trust me, it isn't so great, I
will never be on it again I had better
luck with not getting pregnant on my own.

Hmm..I believe that its 5-7 days. I am
usually on amoxicillin for my infections
for my sinuses, and they always tell me to
use back up protection during and a few
days after...Hope this helps?
