beer day 1 and 2. But my big toe still
gives me serious pain, how long does this
drug take to work? My toe is red, hot
swollen and sore.
Ps. I am 50 pounds overweight, have sleep
aponea - had surgery for this 8 years ago,
drink beer and do not do much exercise - (
40 yrs old )

I was taking diclofenac for back pain. My
back got better (after a week or so as it
wasnt a bad injury) and I still had some
diclofenac left. A week later and I am
sitting here with bad gout in my knee and
my left hand (first time is wasnt in my
foot) anyhow ive been taking diclofenac in
the hope the swelling will go down for 2
days but nothing happend. The only thing
I have found to help is voltarol (or
diclofenac) gel that I rub onto my knee,
the swelling reduces enough for me to be a
little mobile but gets worse again after 3
hours or so.
I have just tried taking baking soda as
the pain is unbearable at times (as im
sure you know), ill see if this remedy
works.
Tomorrow I go to docotor to see what he
has to say.
But in answer to your question, I guess
the time it takes to work is different for
everyone, except I personally dont think
diclofenac is that good a remedy for gout.
