Logan had his starband fitted and i'm so upset. He's not bothered at all its me that has the problem as I think it looks awful. He has a condition known as plagiocephaly which means his head is an abnormal shape and he needs the starband to mould it back into shape. We tried repositioning but it never worked. I cried my eyes out when he had it on! He has to wear it 23 hours a da for 3 months.

They said it could be how he was positioned in the womb or from his quick birth (2 hours) as we noticed it when he was a few days old

He basically just has to wear this helmet thing for 23 hours a day (half an hour break at bath time and getting changed for bed) everytime we take it off we have to check for red marks that don't fade.
We go to see the london orthontic consultancy once a week and they take measurements and adjust the helmet accordingly so that his head can grow in the desired shape.
Its a big mess around and works out quite expensive for the ongoing fares to go every week. Here in the uk our health service will not fund it but I heard they are better in usa.
