I'm an esthiologist....I basically wax, tweeze, and deal with problemed skin.
When you're pregnant, the nerve endings in your body become more sensitive...
Wherever you get it done they should suppley a pair of disposable panties unless you're getting a .Sphinx or a "full bikini" wax...Which is removing hair from your entire vagina and anus.
The hair, depending on it's type,(coarse or fine) should stay gone for a week to a week and a half. Now, if you continue to wax bi weekly or tri weekly the hair will start to grow slower. Therefore you'll go from waxing every 2/3 weeks to once a month.
If there is a "sallys beauty supply" or any type of beauty supply store you can pick up an analgesic spray from the makers of ".Gigli" it's doesn't make the pain obsolete, but it helps...
Make sure if you get some to aviod the vagina opening and anus while spraying...This is for "topical" use only.
Have the estitician trim the hairs before she beings waxing. Also, ask her if the carry a "hard wax." this wax is more beneficial because it doesn't contain an exfolliant and can be applied to the same area more than once without removing layers of skin.
Don't be afraid to ask your .Estitician these questions and make sure she wears gloves during this process. Also make sure she doesn't "double dip" the wax stick. If she's 'double dipping' for you, that means she's done it with other clients. And you really don't want her spreading someone else's skin onto your bikina area.
Good luck and let me know how it turns out!!
