I've never had a bikini or brazilian wax, but i've had my legs done and it was very painful - like a thousand big bandaids being pulled off at once. It's mostly painful on the calves, though, where all your nerve endings are. If you're getting a bikini wax, you can probably keep your underwear on. I'd like to get a brazilian but I can't imagine how painful it would be. You could take tylenol or something beforehand to try to ease the pain. There's gotta be a numbing agent out there on the market. Good luck!

Esthiology...
I'm an esthiologist....I basically wax, tweeze, and deal with problemed skin.

When you're pregnant, the nerve endings in your body become more sensitive...

Wherever you get it done they should suppley a pair of disposable panties unless you're getting a .Sphinx or a "full bikini" wax...Which is removing hair from your entire vagina and anus.

The hair, depending on it's type,(coarse or fine) should stay gone for a week to a week and a half. Now, if you continue to wax bi weekly or tri weekly the hair will start to grow slower. Therefore you'll go from waxing every 2/3 weeks to once a month.

If there is a "sallys beauty supply" or any type of beauty supply store you can pick up an analgesic spray from the makers of ".Gigli" it's doesn't make the pain obsolete, but it helps...

Make sure if you get some to aviod the vagina opening and anus while spraying...This is for "topical" use only.

Have the estitician trim the hairs before she beings waxing. Also, ask her if the carry a "hard wax." this wax is more beneficial because it doesn't contain an exfolliant and can be applied to the same area more than once without removing layers of skin.

Don't be afraid to ask your .Estitician these questions and make sure she wears gloves during this process. Also make sure she doesn't "double dip" the wax stick. If she's 'double dipping' for you, that means she's done it with other clients. And you really don't want her spreading someone else's skin onto your bikina area.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out!!

I had my eyebrows waxed once. Needless to say, that's the first and last time i've let anyone come near me with wax. That mess *hurt*!

I shave and pluck everything that I don't want. As far as getting the sensitive bits waxed, I think i'd prefer having my toenails painted with a chainsaw. Wax is not my friend. Hellooooo razors! :)

Aww, I get my eyebrows waxed regularly. I don't even flinch anymore. Mel, i'd just take sarah's advice... And make sure you have one of those stress balls or something to grab during the process. I didn't have anything to squeeze when I was being waxed and I felt like it would have made things a lot easier on me.

No,no buck naked lol. They did give me some little disposable undies, however they didn't do much good cause she would go from side to side and move them over and over and over.So finally there was no where else for them to go and lets just say it wasn't very comfy, lmao.I still got razor like bumps but they seem to be going away : )

God I remember being able to wax....I used to get a mani, pedi, facial and have everything below the belt waxed (hoo-hoo & legs). And i'd get my hair done in the salon. I always had it dyed black cuz my hair's an odd shade of reddish brown naturally. Can you imagine a dark skinned girl with reddish brown hair? Not pretty. It clashes with my skin. Anyhoo can't afford to do that anymore...

well not exactly. She did the part near my buttox(lol) the sides and the top but not right there if ys know what I mean. The girl said she had only done a brazillian once and it wasn't a good experience for the girl, lol.I still want to though. It got very painful when she got closer to my hoo hoo so I don't know if I could deal with it. . .She asked me if I just wanted to take the undies off cause it was all up in there and I was like "no,its ok,i'm fine" lmao
