In january I noticed a few swollen lymph
nodes in both axillary areas. My gp
treated these with antibiotics and a
course of steroids. A mono test was
negative and my cbc showed only elevated
eosinophils. In may the nodes were still
enlarged. I went to see my gyno for my
yearly exam and mentioned the lymph nodes.
She referred me to a surgeon, who was in
the room 2 minutes and determined that I
had no enlarged lymph nodes. My gyno
then sent me for a mammogram because she
was concerned with the size of the nodes
she was feeling. I have since had a clear
mammogram with only the nodes showing. I
also had a pelvic us because of an
enlarged uterus. The us showed a 2 cm
cyst on my left ovary and a mildly
enlarged uterus. My gp then sent me for
an axillary us. It showed enlarged lymph
nodes with 3 of them being 2.5 cm. I now
have found a small swollen node in my neck
and 2 medium sized nodes in my groin. I
am having some ruq pain occasionly and
right lower back pain around my period but
otherwise am not having any seroius
problems. Is all this tied together?
Am I worrying for nothing? What next?
