Std Or Yeast Infection?
Posted: 01-16-04 03:06am

Yes I know, go see a doctor, but until then, I would like to know what you have to say. Not sure how to start. First of all I am sexually active with my boyfriend. He is about 2" longer and much thicker then any other of my past boyfriends. I mention this, because it may have something to do with my problem. Since I have been with him I have noticed since then that I have a slightly yellowish discharge that has an off odor. This is not very strong, but strong enough to notice at times. For a while I was also experiencing pain during sex. This was after 2 days sexually active with him. I did end up with a u.T.I. That 2nd day, which went into my kidneys. That is gone, but I still have the discharge. I continued to have the pain during sex, but that is pretty much gone now. The pain was on the outside but right at the opening of the vagina (lower part), and one spot on the inside hurt pretty badly for the first minute or so of sex. Even now it bothers me for a couple seconds, but does not hurt. I figured I had a yeast infection since I did have itching and burning with this. But the pain during sex I am not sure of. Its where it does not hurt anymore, and I am wondering if the pain was just me getting use to his size, or if it could be something else. Any advice would be great. That is advice other then "go see a doc" because that I already know, and plan to do very soon.

You could have had a yeast infection for quite some time now and not have known it and a if you let an infection go it can lead to pid (pelvic inflammatory disease) which is what you could have.

Normal discharge should be clear or milky white and dries as yellow. You may have chlamydia or ghonorrea ( I don't know if I spelled it right). I know you already know this, but the only way to know for sure is to get tested. I hope everything works out well for you

It could also be something simple like bacterial vaginosis. Well, not simple, but not an std. When I am with a man who is on the large side, I get uti's, yeast infections and bv very often. This is because they are pushing on certain areas that smaller men do not and pushing bacteria into places that is should not go. Or maybe he did give you an std. I would definately get tested soon, because if it is chlamydia you need to get it treated right away to prevent infertility.
