Skipping Periods
Posted: 06-25-06 17:14pm

Hello!

I know there's been a lot of talk on here about skipping periods, but I can't find a post to answer my question.

I am currently on the pill, estrostep fe (a triphasic pill) and I would like to skip my period. I know that when you are on monophasic pills you can just skip the placebos and go straight to the next pack, but i'm pretty sure that if I were to do that on triphasics, the drop in hormones would screw up my period and cause it to start, or just spot a lot.

If I wanted to skip it, should I skip the placebos at the end of my current pack and work backwards (take the white pills, starting with the highest dosage of hormones)? If I did this, would I still be "protected?"

Yes you wouls still be protected, but do not expect to skip a period..Even women who use monophasic pills do not skip their very first try, so do not be surprised if you spot for 2-3 weeks.

Triphasics are hard to skip on, no matter which way you take them.
