Just curious for future references if the chance of getting pregnant is reduced if the woman is bulimic?

Also...Yes you guessed it, I am bulimic and in a commited relationship having protected sex. (but you know there is always a chance). Due to my abnormal eating habits my periods are very irregular. Usually about 1.5-2 months apart. In april I had a week long period and 2 weeks later started again for about the same time. It has been almost 2.5 months since that period. I have taken 2 at home pregnancy tests both within the past month to be sure, and both showed up negative. Do I have any reasons to be concerned about pregnancy?
I am planning on getting on a form of birth control to help with irregular periods and to help prevent pregnancy very soon, but the Dr. Said I need to start my period first. Thanks for the help

The answer is {yes} yes it is "hard" for someone who was/is bulimic to get pregnant. You answered your own question. You have irregular periods so yes it would be "harder" for you to get pregnant. If you are in fact pregnant, you should seek professional help because it is {not} good for the baby if you are bulimic. You can look up alot about pregnancy and bulimia on the interent.
If you are worried that you are pregnant, use a reliable brand of pregnancy test in the morning.
Hope this helps.

Very little is known about the impact of pregnancy on women with anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa. Despite the fact that amenorrhea, the lack of menstruation, and infertility are common features of these syndromes, some women have been able to conceive, even at below normal body weight....
